About the Airport
The San Juan Airport is located in Carolina, about 5Km southeast of San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is officially known as the Isla Verde International Airport or the San Juan Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport. This airport is the busiest in the Caribbean because it is the main gateway in and out of the area.
The airport is operated by Aerostar airport holdings and owned by the Puerto Rico Port Authority. The management is a public-private partnership, and Aerostar was contracted by the Puerto Rico government to operate the airport for 40 years, a lease that began in 2013.
