About the Airport

Warsaw Modlin Airport (IATA: WMI) is located 42 km (26 miles) north-west of Warsaw’s city center in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, near national road 62, which is connected to motorway S7 that leads to Warsaw city center and Gdańsk. The airport is planned to be used by low-cost airlines serving Warsaw.

The building is composed of two floors above ground level and one underground floor, where technical rooms are located. The airport features a new, easy, convenient and accessible one-storey passenger terminal building containing all departures and arrivals facilities as well as a zone with a shop, a café, a kiosk, cash dispensers, beverage, and snack vending machines and currency exchange. Furthermore, the Masovian Railway stand and ticket machine, Modlinbus stand, car rental stands are in the same terminal.

The passengers can enjoy Free WiFi in all the premises of the terminal.

The route between Modlin railway station and Warsaw Modlin Airport terminal (special airport busses covered in the colours of Koleje Mazowieckie, green, yellow and white)

Frequency: every 20-30 minutes. You should not worry about the schedules; they are adapted to those of the flights and to train departures/arrivals.

The route between Warsaw City Centre – Warsaw Modlin Airport (direct line)

  • Company: ModlinBus (Plac Defilad)
  • Pick up point: opposite the entrance to the Palace of Culture and Science.
  • Frequency and Trip time: 50 times a day both ways, (the timetable is adapted to departure and arrival schedule too). The transfer is very fast, it takes about  40 minutes.
  • You can buy the tickets online from PLN 9, At the airport or directly on the bus.

TRAIN

The airport itself does not have a railway station, you have to take the shuttle bus services to the train station in Modlin downtown 4 km away (see ‘Bus Information’), where local or long-distance trains depart to Warsaw up to 62 times a day.

21 of these trains (every 60 minutes) run via Warsaw Central station to Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) while others terminate at Warsaw West station.

In the other direction, most services terminate at Modlin while some continue to Działdowo.

Koleje Mazowieckie, TLK and EIC trains stop at the Modlin railway station.

The taxi stand is outside the arrivals hall. Journey time to/from Warsaw: approximately 40 minutes. Please note that all companies use the same price list.
