The Kansas City Airport is an international airport which was originally known as the mid-continent international airport. It is a public airport located in Platte County, Missouri, 24km northwest of downtown Kansas City. In 2018, about 11,850,825 passengers flew in and out of the airport, the year turned out to be the second busiest year in the history of the airport. Delta Air and Southwest Airlines are the biggest airlines flying in and out of the airport. They both fly lots of daily flights from the terminal B of the airport.  It has always been a civilian airport, which has never in its history had a national air guard unit assigned to it. It had 180 peak day scheduled flights in December 2018(it busiest year).

The City is located on the western end of Missouri and borders Kansas. It is a city known for barbecue, fountains, jazz heritage and more. The American Jazz Museum downtown shares the same building with the Baseball Museum of the Negro leagues, in the 18th and Vine Jazz District. The giant shuttlecocks and Nelson-Atkins museum of art houses about 40,000 artworks, ranging from ancient collections to contemporary artifacts.

Visit the Kansas City Zoo. The zoo which was founded in 1909, attracts many visitors to date. The zoo covers an area of over 200 acres, it is best known for its exhibitions of the Kenya and Tiger Trail. The zoo recently added the koala bears to its very impressive repertoire.

The Kauffman Park is known to be one of the nicest and oldest ballparks featuring the American baseball league. You won’t be mistaking visiting the home of the Kansas City Royals. Watching a game here is not just affordable, it is fun too. The most recognizable feature of “The K’s” is the Water Spectacular, a fountain and a waterfall screen behind the fence on the right field.

The J.C. Nichols Commemorative Fountain should also be seen. Spend a day exploring the most famous fountains in a city known for its fountains. Every spring, (including the 48 public-operated) are all invigorated. They range from classic designs to modern and minimalist looking fountains. They can be found in parks, shopping malls, and plazas
