About the Airport

The Kansas City Airport is an international airport that was originally known as the mid-continent international airport. It is a public airport located in Platte County, Missouri, 24km northwest of downtown Kansas City. In 2018, about 11,850,825 passengers flew in and out of the airport, the year turned out to be the second busiest year in the history of the airport. Delta Air and Southwest Airlines are the biggest airlines flying in and out of the airport. They both fly lots of daily flights from the terminal B of the airport.  It has always been a civilian airport, which has never in its history had a national air guard unit assigned to it. It had 180 peak day scheduled flights in December 2018(it busiest year).
